So much has changed! Three months ago we had to have some hard conversations about how to move forward (or not) during a time of uncertainty. 🤔
At the time quarantine began, we were just days away from our grand opening…and the disappointing😭 shockwaves in our community were very real.
Since Sensory Rock is a hybrid business (our therapy side is considered “essential” but our play-gym is “non-essential”), every day we assessed the best way to do business and keep our community safe. It was evident that closing the brick and mortar gym and moving into online services was a prudent way to go in keeping everyone safe. 😷
I’m proud to say that our team worked tirelessly with rolling out our new App, our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and our own YouTube channel! 🙌🏻We did so in a way that remained true to our message- bringing joy and light to our families and community; creating energized programs and fun videos from Sheri “Sunshine” Rocketeer.
We understand that this situation -like life- was filled with deep sadness and destruction and our response to that–just like our tragedies in life–is to make each day what it is: a gift. 🎁And our task is to spread lightness in the difficulties with a “can-do” 💪🏻attitude! We accomplished some really fun events like our Easter bunny drop🐰 and Evie’s Field Day⛳️ with an outside chalk obstacle course! Connecting kids through zoom⚡️ has been our highlight - bringing social and emotional connection. 💗
We have been following our government advice and now...! We are ready to go into Phase 3 - which means that Sensory Rock can re-open in a new way!😁
➡️Starting June 1st Sensory Rock will start it’s 3-stage opening process beginning with a real life opening of the gym. We are offering our classes online AND at the gym.
If you want to play at Sensory Rock during Stage 1 the way to do it is sign up for the class that’s right for you. We are currently offering Matt's Rockin' Workout and Kindermusik. Each class will allow a FREE play hour after the class during Stage 1 only!
Stage 1 will also allow our Rocketeer Booster Club membership (children with special needs can bring their ABA, therapist or development professional to utilize the limitless therapeutic play gym to develop their growth). Memberships will go through an application process.
Finally in Stage 1, we want families to celebrate birthdays so we will rent out the WHOLE gym for private birthday parties.
When we have a green light to move forward, Stage 2 will open up to our Rocket Booster PlayPass membership and public Open Play. Stage 3 will be our grand opening, a few months down the road (we will keep you posted!).
Please remember that we all are walking in uncertain times and we do not know what tomorrow may bring. Even if our physical doors our closed, our online community is always open! 🥰
